The Celebration of Vigan Town Fiesta amidst COVID-19 Pandemic

 

Prosperity, hope, and light are the themes of the majority of religious holidays celebrated during this time of year. This means that we must remember or adhere to the significance of these occurrences, even if we are unable to perceive them in the same way that we have in the past. The Vigan City Fiesta is significant because it helps to maintain the culture and traditions of our province. It assists individuals in your immediate vicinity in appreciating the significance or importance of the occasion. Friends and family members gain from celebrations since they bring happiness and affection to their lives.



This year's Vigan Town Fiesta, on the other hand, is markedly different from previous years' celebrations, owing to the worldwide epidemic. Good news is that the city of Vigan was able to make the celebration possible, despite the fact that it is not exactly what the city would consider "normal" at this point in time. For the safety of every Bigueno, the local government intended to hold at least a low-key celebration, according to the mayor. Participating in festivals while attending COVID-19 is a difficult feat to do. Everyone is adjusting to the new normal of festival celebrations and festivities, which is proving to be difficult. It might be difficult to honor a major occasion when you are unable to do it in the customary manner. Various emotions, such as grief and melancholy, may be experienced by some individuals. In order to deal with this new normal, we must first recognize and accept the truth of our current circumstances. What we must do is bridge the gap between our idealized conceptions of a spectacular party and the reality of what may occur during the event. If we are successful in doing so, we will devise a strategy for striking a balance between safety and enjoyment.


We look forward to celebrations of all sizes and shapes because they provide us with something to look forward to. They also serve to elevate our spirits and help us appreciate the wonderful things in life. Even in the midst of a global pandemic, it is essential to conduct celebrations. Our ability to celebrate in the same manner as we did in the past may be limited; nonetheless, sharing moments with others can teach us to appreciate the simple pleasures of life even when we are not physically present with one another. Avoid allowing yourself to be overwhelmed by grief or anxiety during this difficult time; instead, engage in activities that you believe will bring you happiness instead. You should strive to prevent negative thinking at all costs, and you should constantly think in a positive manner.

    The Vigan City Fiesta is indeed a significant festival for Bigueños. With the occurence of the virus, I am glad that the Mayor have decided to only have a low-key celebration for this year. It may not be as exciting as before but we must consider that everyone's health and safety is more imporant and should always be the top priority. Very informative blog! Happy Fiesta Vigan City!
