A Quarter To Remember

Imahe
During the previous two quarters of my life as a Grade 10 student, I would have to say that things have improved significantly. To be completely honest, this quarter hasn't been as easy as I had anticipated; in fact, it's been more difficult than the prior quarter. Reflecting on everything I have accomplished and experienced from the beginning to the end of the quarter, I believe that I have grown and improved significantly as a student and, more importantly, as a regular person in many respects. For this quarter, not only did my understanding of the various subjects that I needed to master at school increase but so did my ability to learn in other aspects of my life. I've gained a great deal of insight into my characteristics, such as my strengths and shortcomings and my work habits and attitudes. I needed to discover how to apply the most effective and practical learning approaches that work well for me. I realized that the way I learned was not necessarily the way my t

COVID VACCINES: ITS SIGNIFICANCE FOR KIDS AND TEENS IN THIS TIME OF PANDEMIC

Imahe
The pandemic impacted almost every aspect of life: it slowed global economies, changed the way we work and communicate with our loved ones, and strained healthcare systems to their breaking point. Because of the virus's rapid spread, governments worldwide have been obliged to impose severe limits on human activities. COVID-19 vaccine is now providing a way out of this pandemic phase. Without vaccines, the government would have required strong behavioral limitations for an extended period of time. Many scientists believe that natural herd immunity would not have been enough to restore society to its pre-disaster state, resulting in extensive mortality and devastation. This sentiment had been noticed by several health organizations, including the World Health Organization.   Vaccines have been the subject of substantial debate over the years regarding their safety, although no solid proof of harm has been discovered thus far. You may be unaware of the importance of immunizing you

Kagitingan para sa Bayan

Imahe
The Day of Valor, or Araw ng Kagitingan, commemorates the heroics of Filipino World War II soldiers. It is a national holiday in the Philippines that falls on or around April 9 each year. Schools and most businesses are closed because it is a holiday for the general public.  When the Japanese conquered the Philippines during World War II, the bravery of Filipino and American soldiers was honored on the Day of Valor. On April 9, 1942, at around dawn, US Army Major General Edward P. King surrendered more than 76,000 Filipinos, Chinese, and American troops to the Japanese. For the soldiers, Camp O'Donnell in San Fernando, California, was a 90-mile (145-kilometer) walk away for soldiers. Due to malnutrition, thirst, and infections, many captives perished during the trek (also known as the Bataan Death March). The kidnapped men persevered despite their defeat, and heroes arose from the experience. The surrender of Bataan expedited corregidor's demis; the Japanese might have rapidly

Lenten Season At Its Finest

Imahe
Have you ever considered Lent to be an annual second chance to make a fresh start? Once a year, the Church provides us with six weeks to take a long, compassionate look at ourselves to determine whether or not our values and priorities are in line with God's will for us. Due to the fact that the vast majority of us discover that we have strayed from God's path, Lent serves as a second chance, or "do-over," to "return to God with our whole heart." We recognize those who have shared their Lenten habits and memories with us, as well as the practices themselves. Whether pious and traditional or imaginative and out of the ordinary, their Lent experiences represent an endeavour to make the season of Lent a meaningful time of prayer, fasting, and almsgiving for themselves, their families, and the larger communities in which they find themselves. Lent, also known as the Lenten season or the Great Lent, is 40 days of fasting and temptation in the desert that Jesus en
